The sweet sounds of the 1970s live on in albums

Earlier this year, the music world lost Burt Bacharach, one of the most prolific songwriters of the 20th century. It’s hard to imagine the number of his songs that people know by heart. Bacharach’s work stretched back to the 1950s but he is best remembered for his contribution to the sounds of the 1970s. Arguably his most famous tune, “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head,” hit number 1 in 1970. |
