Tobacco tin collectibles are not going up in smoke |

Tobacco needs to be stored in special conditions that maintain the humidity and air to keep the tobacco fresh.
In the mid-19th century, tin containers filled that requirement. Early makers of those tins quickly discovered their versatility as they were used to store many products because of their airtight seals that preserved freshness. |
