Connecticut will host NDGA for first time
DANBURY, Conn. — The National Depression Glass Association (NDGA) will hold its 35th annual Convention Show and Sale on July 11-12. The 2009 Convention, Show and Sale will be held in the O’Neill Center on the campus of Western Connecticut State University.

NDGA’s President Kent Washburn said, “This is the first time in the history of the NDGA that we will be bringing our convention to the Northeast. The convention will showcase 32 nationally known dealers who will bring millions of dollars worth of fabulous American made glassware. The glass will range from Victorian to Mid Century Modern with an emphasis on the Depression Era. The sight is just dazzling.”

The 2009 Danbury Convention is being chaired by Rosemary Trietsch who is the President of the Big Apple Depression Glass Club in Albertson, N.Y., and a NDGA board member. Trietsch also writes Glass Cupboard for AntiqueWeek.

The National Depression Glass Association is incorporated in Kansas City, Mo. The purpose of this nonprofit organization is to educate about and preserve American glassware. Seminars, educational displays and samples of items being preserved will be on exhibit.
